19 members arrived on an extremely hot day for a round of golf at Alpine. It turned out to be a very rough day and I am only one of many who would like to return to Alpine and play it from the fairways. There have been many comments about the rough at Alpine and I can confirm that none of these comments have been exaggerated. The green staff were at work on the course during our game and it seemed that they were cutting the rough back………WONDERFUL!
Despite the difficulty of the course, narrow fairways and extremely thick rough, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and it is always nice to visit Alpine GC. We had 2 members of the 19 managing to play to their handicaps and score 36 points, hats off to both Jeffrey and Ric Cameron. Taking joint second with 33 points were Allan and Ken, well done to you both.
