Best Ball Royal 24.04.14

Today (24.04.014) all 20 players turned up in time so that we actually start teeing off at 08:30 instead of the scheduled 09:00 am tee time. The course was literally empty and everyone enjoyed the quality of the Fairways, Bunkers and Greens. Everything was just in great shape. The day was really hot and it is getting very humid so that after 3 holes everyone is feeling the current weather. It was very welcome to have the lunch in the Air-conditioned room next to the restaurant. The Service was great (5 waiters just for our group), food was excellent just beer as usual in Club houses were more on the Expensive side.

As for the results, the Best 2 man better ball team was with a Net 62, Terry Redding & Barry Ochitwa, in second place with a Net 66 was Kieran Savage & Steve Jepson and tied for 3rd place with a net 67 was Stuart Duncan & Kim Anderson and Frank Schwarz & Roscoe Butler.

Congratulation to all teams and especially to the todays Winners (I apologize for not having any pictures to show).

We will start at 09:00 hours.

The price is Baht 1.500 for the green fee incl. Caddy.

The cost for a cart is Baht 800 and can be shared for the same price.

Competition Rules for Best Ball

Best ball will be played using 2-person teams. Each player on the team plays his or her own golf ball throughout the round, and on each hole the low score – or “best ball” – of the group serves as the team score. The Handicaps will be applied to each Player.

Example: Player A gets a Net Score 5, B gets a Net Score 4, then the team score for that hole is 4, because the low score of the group was 4. Best ball is played as stroke play with the total score added up at the end of the round. All Players must Putt out. The Scores will be used for the Handicap System after the round. The Rules of the R&A apply. Please observe any Local Course Rules.
