Fourth Tournament @ Inthanon 23.10.15
49 players registered in time for our 09:00 am Tee off on Hole # 1 and Hole # 10 under a sunny and clear blue sky. A special thank goes to Khun Kung from the Inthanon Golf Course who agreed to give us this special price on a Public Holiday and additionally reserved all remaining carts (many are in the repair shop) only for our last leg of the Annual Tournament.
The Scoring was more on the hot side for some late starters in order to through their Names into the possible Winners list.
We had a 4 way tie for 3rd place with 37 points between Dao Beece, Joy Gariano, Garry Walker and Steven Bjorge. Alone in 2nd place with a respectable 38 points coming into late form was Shaun Stewart. And the overall Winner today with an impressive 42 points was our Secretary Rob Grootenhuijs.

Third Tournament @ Mae Jo Golf Course 21.10.15
On a Sunny day we played with 50 members our third leg of the Annual Tournament 2015. A good turnout. The Ladies starting in their points order of on Tee # 10 and than followed by 4 more groups of guys fighting for points. We had 7 groups of Tee # 1. All is all everyone made it around in good time between 4 – 4.5 hours.
Scoring was okay with a tied for 4th place with 35 points between Steven Bjorge and Soren Nielsen. Alone in third place with 36 points was Ralph Hamilton. In second place with a good 38 points posted by Yung Beece and the Winner with 39 points was Frank Schwarz.
The Handicaps have already been adjusted for Friday, so Yung and Frank enjoy your new Handicaps.
See you all on Friday morning.
Second Tournament @ Gassan Khuntan Golf Course 15.10.15
Again a strong field of 48 players turned up for the second round of the Annual Tournament. The weather was more on the Hot side since we had clear skies. The staff at Gassan Khuntan did an awesome job in helping the Committee to organize today’s outing. A Big thank you to the staff.
All players arrived in time with one exception, he was going to the wrong Gassan course but missed only his assigned group. We switched one player and the late arrival could join the next group.
For many of us it was the first time we saw the redesigned Golf Course and improvements. Even though we had asked for an updated Score Card prior to our arrival we did not got it and so there were some changes in regards to their reassigned Handicap Index and some holes we had to make the adjustments after the round.
The next weeks third competition at the Mae Jo Golf Course will start at 07:57 hours and the Tee off order will be the accumulated Stableford points, which means the players with the lowest combined score for the last 2 competitions will go out first and the highest will go last.
See you at Mae Jo.
First Tournament @ Lanna Golf Course 12.10.15
Today a total of 48 players showed up to start the Annual Tournament 2015 under dark skies with the lowest temperature since early March this year. Shannon Livingstone was playing to establish his Handicap. So 47 players tried to score their first result for the best 3 out of 4 scores. Thanks for the corporation of all players and the starter of the Lanna Course we started early with no groups placed between our flights.
The Ladies had the honor and started first (3 groups), followed by the men teeing off in the Handicap Order (low to high). We had maybe for 45 minutes light rain at the start of the round but after that a solid cloud cover with no further liquid humidity until all players made it back to the restaurant for lunch and after Golf banter.
Some good scoring even though the conditions were not ideal (actually only 2 players broke par). We had a 4 way tie Noi Taylor, Roengrudee Grootenhuijs, Clavin Davis and Silvan Schwarz for 6th place with a total of 33 Stbl. points. Tied for 4th was Roscoe Butler and Yung Beece with 34 Stbl. points. In 3rd place was Ric Cameron with 35 points. In second place was Soren Nielsen with a very good 39 Stbl. points and the Winner with a fantastic score of 41 Stbl. points was Yukio Doi (his last round before heading back to Japan tomorrow, safe travel Yukio and see you soon).
Congratulations to all Winners.
See you all on Thursday for the second day of the Annual tournament @ Gassan Khuntan.
