16 players for todays 2 man scramble in warmish conditions. I negelected to record the net scores before I used the cards to get the BBQ going so they are only aproximate, but in the correct order of placings. In 3rd. was Ian and Graham 68ish, 2nd Donald and Kuzie 64ish and the winners Aom and Randy 57ish. Happy New Year to all, may it be better than the last 2. Don’t forget all memberships are now due so please pay the captains at your respective courses.

There were 12 members (11 in comp) for a Stableford event. 1 birthday group (Happy Birthday Lawrence. Busy course on a holiday but all complete in regulation time in perfect weather for golf, maybe a little warm. Birdie Hole #15 finally went off after more than a year to one of our regular golfers thankfully, well done Yung Beece with a chip in no less. Also the winner today was Yung with 38 points and the runners up tied on 37 points were Tom Berger and Weiwei Ding. Well done to all and may I take this opportunity to wish all CMSG a Happy & Healthy New Year.

14 members for today’s stableford nassau on courses 1 and 2. Absolutely perfect weather conditions and the course in superb condition. Some very good scoring today. Taking the front nine was Jack Kuzina with 22 points. The back nine was taken by the weekly bandit, Gordon Langtry, with 26 points. Today’s overall winner was Allan Gariano with 45 points!!! Well played all.

14 in our 2 man combined stableford comp today. After rechecking the cards, in 3rd. place were Jack R. and Rick with 63 points, in 2nd spot were Jack K. and Gordon leaving todays winners with a great score of 79 points Ian and Graham. Well done to all who played. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. I hope the season brings you lots of good will and cheer. Seven members at today’s Stableford event. No takers for the birdie hole. Perfect golfing conditions both groups finishing in good time on a quiet course. The winner was Soren Nielson with 37 points and in second place was Yung Beece with 35 points. Well done and Merry Christmas to one and all.

16 members for today’s stableford on courses 1 and 2. Cool first thing but perfect golfing weather and the course in fantastic condition. The scores today reflected the conditions. No birdie hole winner yet again, 20 plus weeks now! In third was Gordon Langtry with 39 points. Second was Aom Tiesl with 41 points. Today’s number one was Kim Stogner with a great 43 points. There were 8 members in today’s Stableford event. There were no takers for the birdie hole yet again. Welcome back to Tom Berger. The winner today was Peter Cheong striking out with 40 points before heading off to Rayong for Christmas. In second place was Haydn Patterson with 32 points showing good form before heading back to work in Cambodia. In third place out of the prizes were a trio with 31 points. 9 members this morning out on the course. tt was good to see Tom Berger back with us for a while. Scoring was good this morning with Joy Gariano leading the way with 21 points to take first place. Coming in second were Noi and Keith Taylor both with 19 points. No takers on the birdie hole once more. There will be no golf for the next two weeks. The next Thursday golf will be on the 6th of January.

10 members for todays stableford round in perfect golfing weather. Scores were close, we had a 3 way tie for 2nd all on 38 points were Jack, Kuzie and Serge, leaving todays winner, one point better was Chris on 39 points. Well done all see you again on Friday.

17 golfers including 1 guest enjoyed great golfing weather for our monthly stroke round. Scores were mixed, some were very good and some, well, 2 members didn’t hand in their cards! The birdie hole once again was not won, although there were a couple of valiant attempts.
In third equal on net 73 were Peter Brown, Jack Reutter and our local bandit, Gordon Langtry. In second by herself on net 72 was Lamyai Prasarn, but our winner on a very good net 68 was the Lanna specialist Aom Teisl.
Well played everyone. Nigel returns next week to take the reins once again, and I will not be there, so I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

A sharp reminder of pre Covid days today as the course was very busy, and we teed off behind a group of 24 Koreans. 13 members for today’s stableford competition. Perfect golfing conditions although a little cool first thing. The birdie hole remains untouched yet again. In third with 38 points was our regulr winner, Gordon Langtry. Tied for first, on 40 points were Prajat Bacchi and John Orlebeck. Well done all.

6 members out on the course this morning which was in great shape. It was ladies day once more with Joy Gariano taking first place with 20 points, and Noi Taylor taking second with 18 points. Way to go ladies and everyone. Once again no takers on the birdie hole. Just a heads up there will be no golf on the 30th of December due to a Japanese tournament.

14 members again today for round two of the Chiang Rai trophy. Santiburi was in magnificent condition with a Singha tournament approaching in two weeks time. Unfortunately due to this event, all the tees were moved forward rendering the round ineligible for handicap purposes.The same as yesterday, the course was deserted and we were able to have a two tee start. Thank you to Julian Wing for updating the handicaps so quickly. Today’s winners were as follows: Third was Gordon Langtry with 36 points. Second was Larry Richards with 37 points. Today’s number one was Bill Whitsett with 39 points. The Chaing Rai Cup winner was Larry Richards with 75 points, closely followed by Bill Whitsett with 74 points. Well done all and a safe journey back to Chiang Mai.
