Mae Jo: Tuesday 24 September 2013
Twenty members and a guest (Kim) joined the competition under overcast skies with a pleasant light breeze. The day’s format was medal (stroke play) with members classified into two flights. Ten members were in Flight A (course handicap from 0-19) and ten members were in Flight B (course handicap from 20-35). In Flight A, Tom Berger continued his good form, shooting an 87 to win low gross. Harry Nieuwland won low net with a 71, while Craig Morris had a 76 for second place low net. Welcome back Craig! In flight B, Captain Jim Hopkins shot a 96 to win low gross (despite over-sleeping and arriving late!). Stuart Duncan followed his win on 13 September with a net 72 to win first place – well done Stuart! Taking second place for low net was “Young Jimmie” Catterson with a net 75.
Thanks to everyone for joining in the Monthly Medal competition and most importantly for helping to make it a socially enjoyable experience!
