North Hill, 28.09.18

Sorry for the late report, “H” & Mark led me astray once again. Good turn out today with 25 golfers, 24 members and one ex member who rejoined today, welcome to Joe Ritter who hasn’t played with us since 2012.  Also welcome back to Frank after his holidays but off again very soon.   Stableford round in order of arrival saw 7 groups go off both tees.  No takers for the birdie hole #6 once again. The winner was Gary Cooke with 40 points, runner up was Garry Walker with 39 points (bugger!) and in third place  a triple tie with 37 points were Chanitapha (Oil), Yung Beece & Curtis Nickel.  Well done to all concerned.

12 players for todays stableford event in very, very warm conditions. The course is just about back to normal as far as the rough goes. To the results: in 3rd on 31 points was Stuart in 2nd on 33 points was Kuzie and todays winner on 35 points was Ric. Well done to todays winners. Have a great weekend and GO STORM !!!

14 members turned out today which is a great number for us. Very warm and the course is in wonderful condition. In third place with 36 points was Lawrence Nahlik, second was Milton Reynolds with 37 points and a great 40 points for our winner Bill Whitsett.

10 members for todays stableford round in very warm conditions. In 3rd place on 31 points was Craig in 2nd on 32 was Kuzie and todays winner was Rob on 33 points. Hope to see you all again on Friday. Sorry no photo…again !!

Only 7 again for todays round of stableford. Give it another week and the course should be back to some form of normality. In 2nd was John on 25 points…yes 25 and todays winner on 32 points was Kuzie. Hope to see a few more faces on Wednesday.

Only 5 in todays Stableford event.  A big Thank You to Milton for kicking the group off while I went to Immigration.  The winner today was Denise Reynolds with 38 points having finally got used to her new clubs and just missing out last week.  A real family affair  with husband Milton coming in second with 35 points.  Hot hot out there again and well done to all.

16 members for today’s stableford on courses 1 and 2. 13 in the competition and one completing his third handicap card. The birdie hole again remains and will be on hole 1 for next weeks strokeplay event on courses 3 and 1. There was a three way tie for first today between Bill Whitsett, Lawrence Nahlik and Keith Freeman (again)! Congratulations all.

There were 16 members for today’s Stableford event.  One still going for handicap and One “DNF”. No takers for the birdie hole #6 but plenty of birdies on the day.  Fine weather but hot out there today, what’s new.  Welcome back to Haydn Patterson who managed to make it for drinks after the game having just come in from the darker nether regions of Africa and will probably join us next week.  The winner on the day and one of our regular prize winners was Leon Smiler with 39 points, coming in second was Christian Friis with 37 points and in third place finally finding a bit of form was Bill Whitsett with 35 points.  Well done all and have a good weekend.

Only 6 members today for our stableford comp in very sticky and warm conditions. In 2nd place was Jack on 28 points and todays winner on 33 points was Kuzie. No photo as the winners did not want one ! Have a good weekend and see whoever on Monday. Go STORM !!

9 members for todays game of stableford and one puting in his card for handicap making 10 players. Good to see Garry , Leon and Roger come over for a hit. The rough is still dynamite ! The scores again reflected the difficulty of the course. In 2nd on 31 points was Jack and todays winner was Ric on 34 points. Well done to todays winners. I again forgot to take the photo…..sorry guys but you all know what they look like……55555.

There were seven players today, cooler conditions. As ever course in great condition. For those interested you can now book caddies at Haripunchai. Winner today was Nigel Stubbs with 37 points and CMSG course record of 79 and second was Christian Friis with 34 points. Well done.

There were 7 members today and a big welcome back to John Upex qualifying for handicap.  A bit hot out there today but some great scores.  Tied in first were Mr.Park and Ralph Hamilton both coming in with 38 points beating Denise Reynolds out of a prize on 37 points.  Milton would like everyone to know he finally completed a round on this course without losing a ball.  Well done to all.

16 members today for a stableford on courses 3 and 1 in much drier course conditions than last week. The birdie hole again carries over to hole 1 on course 2 for next week’s stableford. We wish Kim Stogner safe travels for his 4 week trip to America. Tied for second on 34 points were Keith Freeman and Barry Ralston. The overall winner was Bob Green with 36 points, congratulations all.

Only 8 brave souls attended today.The rough is still out of control ! The scores were a reflection of that, in 2nd on 28 points was Dianne and todays winner was Jack with 31 points ….yes you read it correctly, 28 and 31. What more can one say?

North Hill, 14.09.18

There were 24 golfers for today’s Stableford round beginning with overcast conditions and clearing to sunshine, humidity and hot, hots hot.  No takers for the birdie hole although plenty were on the green with a chance.  Some good scores with Lawrence Nahlik coming home with 38 points to beat all contenders and take first place.  Tied in second were Milton Reynolds and Yung Beece both with 37 points.  Also a group of three coming in next with 36 points and playing to handicap but unfortunately out of the prizes.  We would like to all wish Roscoe Butler the very best for his upcoming back operation and hope he has a swift recovery.  Also welcome back to Gary Cooke who will be with us till the New Year.  See you all again real soon.

The magical 9 again today !! The stableford results are as follows, in 2nd on 34 was Stuart and todays winner was Dianne on 36 points, welldone to todays winners have a good weekend and see you all again on Monday.

The magic 9 again for todays round of stableford. In 3rd was Jack on 30 points in 2nd on 32 was Keith and todays winner was Randy with 34 points. They are slowly getting through the rough but have a way to go ! Hope to see a few more on Friday.

Only 9 members today for a stableford in bright sunshine but a pleasant breeze. Second was Roger Mack with 33 points. In first was Ian Carr with 34 points. Congratulations.

There were 6 members for today’s Stableford event.  Lift, clean & place on fairways after yesterday’s torrential rain but the course held up pretty well.  Hot and Humid conditions didn’t upset our winner though with Leon Smiler coming home with 39 points.  In second place with 35 points was Garry Walker.  Well done all and see you again on Friday.

13 members for today’s stableford on courses 1 and 2. Welcome to a new member, Mark Gorham. The birdie hole again rolls over to hole 1 on course 3 for next week’s stableford. Again tough scoring today. In third was Bob Green on 32 points. Joint first were Lawrence Nahlik and Keith Freeman with 33 points. Congratulations all.

There were 19 members in today’s Stableford Nassau event.  Quick rounds today with the 3 ball done in 3 hours and the 4 balls in 4 hours.  While a fast round is a good round, just remember no hitting up on the group in front at any time, no excuses.  No takers for the birdie hole #6.  The front 9 was won by Nigel Stubbs with 21 points and the back nine was shared between Mr.Park and Lawrence Nahlik on 20 points.  The over all winner with a great round of 41 points was Jack Cooper.  Well done everyone, look forward to our next meeting.

8 members and 1 guest for todays stableford nassau event. The ROUGH is still VERY tough !! Taking out the front on 18 points was Kuzie the back was won by Mike on 16 points and overall was Randy with 34 points. Have a good weekend and see you all on Monday. Go STORM and CATS !!! There were eleven players today. One going for his 5th handicap card and one member again not in pool. Winner today with 41 points was Smiley Peter Haddon and equal second with 35 points Mr Park and Leon Smiler. From next week those who leave before presentation will not be eligible for prizes.

There were 10 present for today’s Stableford round (1 DNF) under cloudy skies with a mere sprinkle of moisture not requiring an umbrella.  Lift, clean & place still in operation although general opinion is that it’s not required.  The winner today was Camilla Dwyer with 38 points and the trifecta in second place with 34 points were Leon Smiler, Christian Friis & Milton Reynolds.

Lanna, 03.09.18

Lift, clean and plug for our 18 hole strokeplay event on courses 3 and 1. The birdie hole remains intact and will be hole one on course two next week. 13 members and one guest completed all 18 holes, one group taking a lot longer than the rest!!! Todays third place went to Julian Wing with a nett 78, second was Barry Ralston with a nett 77. Today’s winner was Peter Brown with a nett 76. Congratulations all. Next week will be a nassau on courses 1 and 2 if we have 15 or more players.

13 members for todays stableford round which started off dry and turned rather wet by the 8th. so we lost a few at the turn, like 7 people including myself. Now to the scores, in 3rd on 26 points was Dianne in 2nd on 31 was Ric and todays winner with a score of 33 points was Mike. The rough is still very tough !! Hope the weather improves for Wednesday.
