A player of the year competition will recommence on January 1st 2026 and will run through until the last day of the Annual Tournament at which time the next year’s Player of the Year competition will begin.
The format will be different to previous competitions. The award will be given to the player who obtains the most stableford points in his/her best 15 rounds in CMSG events during the year. Only the best 15 rounds count, so the more you play, the better the chance you have of winning! In the first year, the event will only last for approximately 9 months so only the best 15 rounds will count. In subsequent years the best 20 rounds will be used.
One reason why Hariphunchai players are not yet featuring high in the standings. A typical lie on the 9th fairway at Hariphunchai after an excellent drive. Unlucky Garry Walker!
Updates of the standings will be posted on this page regularly, and a commentary and photos will be posted also. Amusing anecdotes and or pictures will be welcomed.
With grateful thanks to SERGE ARNAUD who is maintaining all the data and will provide an update on a weekly basis
Some players are taking this competition way too seriously! Here is the Maejo Captain trying his hardest to put off the opposition by selecting apparel to blind the other players with extra bright colours.
Now that most members have played 15 rounds things are getting a lot closer and the lead is changing from week to week.
The lead is now held by Gordon Langtry who has overtaken Randy Teisl by a solitary point. Iain Craig is still in third spot and Aom Teisl is fourth. However watch out for KK Otten who is climbing the leaderboard and has taken 5th place.
Leading is Gordon Langtry with 539 points.

Second is Randy Teisl with 538 points, just one point behind Gordon!
