North Hill, 01.12.17
There were 18 members fronting up for todays Stableford Nassau event with 17 in the comp and one still going for handicap. Mind you a couple of them had trouble finding the course, but in the end made it before tee off, just. No one took out the birdie hole and life goes on. there were two overall winners with 38 points being Allen Norris and Roger Mack. It might be said that Allen played his pants off as his caddy insisted that he change after nine holes because it was getting embarrassing, and I do mean em.bar.arsing. The winner of the front nine was Leon Smiler with 19 points and the back nine was Robert Green with a nice even round of 18 points front and back. lovely day, great camaraderie, great course.
Mae Jo,01.12.17

The stand in Captain was very touched that 19 members came to witness his return today, or was it just coincidence!! The birdie hole again fell on week one to Jack Cooper.
Cloudy skies and a light breeze made todays golfing conditions perfect for some good scoring and all players finished in a little over 4 hours. Tied for third on 34 points were Lester Twigden and Inge Persson. Todays tied winners were Mark Morriss and Alan Norris on 35 points. Congraulations to all, next week strokeplay on courses 3 and 1.
North Hill, 27.11.17
Seven members played today in a stableford event on a near empty course with overcast skies and light breezes. Some of the greens have been lightly sanded and were a bit slower which made putting much easier, or so it seemed, hope they do the rest by Friday. The staff have complied with our request for more “OB” marker pegs on holes 12 & 15 and we thank them for that. No takers for the birdie hole. The winner today was Garry Walker with 36 points and the runner-up was Brian Heuston with 33 points. We farewelled Milton & Denise on their way to enjoy a Bollywood style wedding in India for a week. Do come and join us on Mondays for a most enjoyable round of golf.

A small group of three enthusiastic players today. Brian Heuston was the winner, but all were winners because we had the pleasure of playing on an immaculate course with few other groups to delay play.
Welcome to our new Canadian member, Richard Barron who is improving with every round. This was his second card and we look forward to him achieving his handicap.
The fairways and greens were perfect and with the removal of some of the heavy rough the course is beautiful. Once again the Staff and Caddies were very friendly, which makes for a most enjoyable day. Finishing the day with lunch in air-conditioned comfort made the day complete.
Look forward to seeing you all next week.
