Fourteen members and a guest (Kim Anderson) joined the competition which saw light rain for the first nine holes and then overcast skies with a light breeze for the second nine holes. The day’s format was Stableford. In the battle for third place, Stuart Leckie accumulated 32 points, but he lost to Frank Schwarz on a countback, since Frank had 18 points on the second nine holes. Richard Brown won second place with 33 points, while Ted Taylor took first place with 36 points – welcome back to the winners’ circle after about a year and two hip replacement operations. He is still limping, but he shot his handicap – well done, Ted!

Please be informed that the monthly Stableford Best Ball competition at Mae Jo will be held on Tuesday, 1 October 2013. We already have 9 teams registered; if any other teams want to join, please notify Frank or the Captain of the members of your two-person teams by Sunday 29 September 2013, so that Frank can prepare the scorecards.
